Torrevieja has one of the healthiest climates in the world due to its natural salt lakes. Many people use the mud baths and salt lakes to alleviate their aches and pains. There are also natural spas in the area. There are lots of interesting places to visit. These include Elche, the historial town of Cartagena, Murcia, Orihuela, Alicante, La Manga and many more. For a relaxing day out one could take the ferry over to the island of Tabarca. There are many local market days, fairs and shopping malls.
